Suzie Quinn's Artistic Vision

Suzie grew up in Rochester, NY near the shores of Lake Ontario in the Charlotte neighborhood. After living in Vermont for many years and enjoying a career in the ski business and renewable energy, she returned to her hometown in 2018 and now is a full time artist.

Suzie’s paintings often balance nostalgia with immediacy, using brushwork and color that is expressive and deliberate. Whether she’s rendering the vibrant bustle of a local market or the tranquil solitude of a rural field, Suzie brings a sensitivity to light and atmosphere that makes the familiar feel newly discovered.

Collectors are drawn to her ability to transform ordinary scenes into soulful visions, resonating with anyone who has ever called western New York home, or simply loves the interplay of landscape and memory. From urban street scenes to lake sunsets to vintage amusement parks, each work is a testament to Suzie’s deep affection for her surroundings and her commitment to sharing that connection through art.

As a self-taught painter, her medium of choice is oil painting. She is dedicated to life-long learning and hones her craft by taking regular classes and workshops with local Finger Lakes and Rochester artists and most recently at the Appolon Studio in Florence.
